Songwriter Bre Kennedy plays the Musicians' Corner on May 25th to mark the release of her single "Strings Attached". "Strings Attached" has bits and pieces of dream pop, indie folk, and Americana driving it. Perhaps its closest major-label relative musically is Shania Twain's "You're Still The One", although the two songs are opposites when it comes to lyrics. On "Strings Attached", Kennedy sings of old pain from a relationship, reckoning with a hole in her heart, and learning to rise while she carries the load of lost love. Tyler Boone has had a busy year, between releasing an EP, lending his name to a brand of bourbon, and hosting the Charleston Songwriters Festival in his South Caroline hometown. But the Nashville-based musician will take off on a Boone's Bourbon-sponsored tour this June, performing all over the Southeast throughout the first part of the month. He'll return to Nashville on June 5th to play The Basement with Southern Gothic and Uncle Duane's Band on the bill. Boone's latest EP, Jealousy, came out this past January, and includes the bluesy title track which has racked up the listens on radio and Spotify. Take a listen to "Jealousy" below. - Will Sisskind

Though he joined the Nashville scene just a couple of years ago, 20-year-old Rylan Talerico a.k.a. Brother Sundance has made a splash in the city's and national pop scene. His 2018 EP Honey got him millions of streams on Apple Music and nationwide attention, and his first major-label debut, called I HURT YOU, I MADE THIS., will come out this fall. Talerico's first single from the album called "Monsters" -- on which he sings and plays all of the instruments -- showcases the dark anti-pop that sounds like it could have come from a studio filled with producers. But aside from contributing vocalist Ella Boh, Talerico's work as Brother Sundance remains a solo project which seeks to push limits. Check out the video for "Monsters" below. - Will Sisskind

Molly Parden shows up at the top of The Deli's Nashville charts quite a bit, so we thought we should share that she'll play at The Basement on May 20th. Parden has bounced around the Northeast and Midwest over the past month; her Spring tour around the States will take her to the Northwest and Southeast before she returns home to Nashville. At her Basement show, fellow artists and friends Madi Diaz and Zoe Sky Jordan will join Parden on the bill. Catch this show and you may also hear some new tracks. Coming up in Nashville's R&B and hip-hop scenes is dnny, an athlete-turned-musician who has two singles shooting up the charts on Spotify. The latest track, a friend-zone inspired song called "way wrong", features Tampa-based hip-hop duo Xuitcasecity on lyrics and beats, showing how dnny has already started to make connections and waves in the national scene. dnny will take the stage to launch his brand at Exit/In on May 24th on a bill with other Nashville-based pop artists Kat Saul and Joe Daccache.
