Wyland

WYLAND's colorful rock bleeds through on "Kaleidoscope Garden," plays Baby's on 11.16

Much like its namesake, “Kaleidoscope Garden” explodes in color over the course of its dramatic, three-minute build, endowing the listener with a colorfully accessible soundscape. The latest offering by Jersey alt rock outfit WYLAND, the track finds its bearings in the blue of cinematic piano and the sauntering drawl of vocalist Ryan Sloan before a bright explosion of guitars and an exciting percussive drive. WYLAND’s penchant for melody and rock showmanship is in full force on “Kaleidoscope;” listen below and be sure to see the Garden State four piece at Baby’s All Right on November 16th. -Connor Beckett McInerney, Photo by Kelsey Ayres

Wyland shares “Nowhere Now” + announces tour and new EP

New Jersey band Wyland offers an heartfelt blend of melodic rock and folk rock, and they have big plans for the upcoming months. They just unveiled single "Nowhere Now" (streaming) from their upcoming EP to be released in early 2019, and also announced a supporting tour with Universal Canada artist Valley. Our local readers will be able to see them at the Asbury Park Brewery on 12.08 and at Rough Trade on 12.15.

Wyland releases singles from upcoming LP + plays Leftfield on 01.24

With the just recently released singles “Shine” and "Wait" (streaming) under their belt, New Jersey rockers, Wyland, are slowly finding their voice and audience in the NYC and NJ scene (that's where they live) - and beyond. Their sound - an intense and tasteful melodic rock with rootsy elements - will resonate with the most endearing Lumineer fan. Their upcoming album, “You’re in the World, Get Off Your Feet”, which is due out in February, is a self-produced, intimate glimpse of the hard working band, which includes emotional lyrical content that might make Chris Martin shed a tear. Wyland will be playing Leftfield on the Lower East Side on January 24 and will have a featured spot on Jansport’s Culture Collide Battle of the Bands at this year’s SXSW. - Robert Frezza
